Easter is just around the corner! If there is one thing that must not be missing from your Easter table, it is a delicious Hefezopf!
Today we have the wonderful recipe from my Mama for you and are already very curious how you will like our Easter pastry!
Your ingredients:
• 300 ml milk
• 40 g fresh yeast
• 20 g oil
• 50 g butter
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp sugar
• 600 g flour
• Milk for brushing
• Pearl sugar for sprinkling

And this is how it's done:
First, you need to gently warm the milk, yeast, oil, butter, sugar, and salt together in a pot (do not bring to a boil!). The ingredients should just dissolve well.

Then add the flour and knead your dough well for about 3 - 5 minutes. It should no longer stick to your hands at the end.

As soon as the dough is ready, divide it into three equal parts. Roll these into even strands to braid a loaf.

Then place your finished braid on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush it with milk. If you like, you can also sprinkle it with pearl sugar.

Now your Hefezopf goes into the oven for about 25 minutes. The first 10 minutes at 100°C, the next 5-6 minutes at 150°C, and finally another 10 minutes at 200°C.

To cut it especially well, I would let it cool for a moment and then enjoy it with your favorite jam!
